Metabolic Cycling: My 7-Day Plan for Energy, Cancer Pressure, and Muscle Building with VisionBody

Metabolic Cycling: My 7-Day Plan for Energy, Cancer Pressure, and Muscle Building with VisionBody

By Henri Schmidt, CEO, Muscle expert & Founder of VisionBody & VBTec

Why I Built a 7-Day Rhythm for Survival and Strength

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I understood one thing immediately: rigid diets or one-size-fits-all training plans would not be enough. My body needed flexibility, resilience, and the ability to withstand constant pressure against cancer cells, while still protecting my muscles and conserving energy.

That’s how my Metabolic Cycling Plan was born: a 7-day rhythm of Keto, fasting, and targeted carb boosts, combined with VisionBody EMS training and regular infrared sauna sessions.

For me, this system became more than a nutrition plan, it turned into a survival tool, a way to keep energy high, build muscle, and make my body an environment where cancer struggles to thrive.

What Is Metabolic Cycling?

Metabolic cycling is the strategic rotation of Keto days, fasting periods, and controlled carbohydrate boosts. Instead of locking your body into one diet, you keep it constantly adapting.

  • Keto Days drive fat-burning, autophagy, and lower inflammation.
  • Fasting Days maximize cellular repair and increase metabolic stress on tumor cells.
  • Carb-Boost Days refill glycogen, trigger muscle growth, and restore strength.

By cycling between these phases, the body never gets “comfortable”, cancer cells remain under pressure, the immune system stays alert, and muscles receive the fuel they need to grow.

My 7-Day Metabolic Cycling Plan

After Day 7, the cycle restarts with 4 Keto days.

Beyond the 7 Days: Adjusting the Cycle Against Cancer

When I learned that four tumors had spread into the bones of my back, I realized there was no time to waste. That was when I committed to a 25-day fast, a test of survival, discipline, and determination.

The outcome was remarkable: once the fasting period ended, the tumors in my back had disappeared. For me, this became undeniable proof of how metabolic stress and fasting can put real pressure on cancer.

But cancer never plays fair. Soon after, a new tumor emerged, reminding me that this fight is not won with a single strategy. It’s a long battle, and one that forces me to adapt, sometimes returning to extended fasting, other times reshaping the rhythm of my cycling plan. I may lose small battles along the way, but with persistence, flexibility, and the right tools, I intend to win the war.

Why This System Works

  1. Cancer Pressure: By rotating fuel sources, cancer cells are always deprived of stability. They can’t adapt to constant change.
  2. Immune Boost: Shifting environments activate immune cells like NK and T-cells.
  3. Muscle Protection: EMS training + Carb-Boost days stimulate growth instead of breakdown.
  4. Sauna Advantage: Heat shock proteins repair and protect healthy cells while detoxing.
  5. Metabolic Flexibility: Cycling between catabolic (fasting/Keto) and anabolic (carb-fed training) states keeps the body youthful, resilient, and strong.

The Role of VisionBody EMS in Metabolic Cycling

Nutrition alone wasn’t enough for me. During fasting and Keto phases, muscle breakdown can be a real risk. That’s where VisionBody EMS training comes in.

  • EMS activates up to 98% of muscle fibers, even at low intensity.
  • On fasting days, light EMS keeps muscles active without needing calories.
  • On carb-boost days, hard EMS training ensures glycogen is directed into muscle growth.

This synergy of metabolic cycling + EMS keeps me strong, lean, and energized while fighting disease.

The Power of the Infrared Sauna

The sauna is another cornerstone of my plan. Every session triggers heat shock proteins, which act as cellular guardians, helping protect healthy cells while putting additional stress on weaker, unhealthy ones.

Other sauna benefits include:

  • Enhanced detox through sweating.
  • Improved blood circulation and oxygen delivery.
  • Support for recovery after EMS training.

For me, sauna is not just recovery, it’s part of the therapy.

Benefits Beyond Cancer: Why Anyone Can Try This

While I developed this plan during my cancer journey, it’s also a powerful lifestyle method for anyone who wants:

  • Better energy through metabolic flexibility.
  • Fat loss while keeping muscles strong.
  • Improved recovery from training and daily stress.
  • Longevity benefits from autophagy and immune resilience.

Even without cancer, metabolic cycling helps your body stay young, adaptable, and strong.

Weight Loss Without Sauna

Although sauna sessions amplify the benefits, this system works even without sauna. By alternating Keto, fasting, and carb-boost phases, combined with EMS training, you naturally create the perfect conditions for steady weight loss while protecting lean muscle mass.

My Personal Conclusion

This plan is no longer an experiment, it’s my way of life.

  • With Keto, I put cancer cells under constant pressure.
  • With fasting, I trigger my body’s repair systems.
  • With carb boosts, EMS, and sauna, I send the signal: growth, strength, life.

For me, nutrition is not about restriction. Together with VisionBody EMS and my sauna routine, it has become the most powerful weapon I have to stay strong and keep fighting.

A Message from Me to You

If you are struggling, whether with illness, energy, or simply the demands of life, know this: your body is stronger than you think. By providing it with the right rhythm, tools, and signals, you can rebuild strength and resilience from the inside out.

This plan is not about perfection. It’s about survival, growth, and hope. And I want you to know, you are not alone in this journey.
